Manel Palau Director of research

Manel Palau is the director of research at TMT Factory . He obtained a BSc degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the School of Telecommunications Engineering of Barcelona (ETSETB) in 2007, and currently, he is performing the master thesis to obtain the MSc in artificial intelligence organized by the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB) . His main research interests combine: personalized recommendation; usability; service-oriented architectures; Web services; ubiquitous computing; context-aware computing; multi-agent systems in dynamic environments; and the semantic Web. As a member of the research staff at TMT Factory , he collaborated in the SOPAT project. Currently, he coordinates TMT Factory ‘s efforts in the ALIVE European project, in the SemAnts project and in the INREDIS project.

Hasier Iñan Researcher

Hasier Iñan is a member of research staff at TMT Factory.  He obtained a BSc degree in Computer Science from Computer Sciences Faculty in San Sebastian (UPV) in 2009, with a BSc thesis entitled “Management and knowledge extraction tool of intelligent diagnosis system applied to rail/train system”, whose main goal is to diagnose, prevent and alert different kind of anomalies from multiple train components, using various Artificial Intelligence methods. His main research interests combine: semantic web, Software Engineering, data mining and other Artificial Intelligence methods. Nowadays, he is managing and working on SemAnts project.

Víctor García Franco Researcher

Víctor García Franco is a member of TMT Factory . He obtained a Bachelor in Computer Science degree from the University of Balearic Islands in 2007. Later he obtained a Master in Computer Science from School Informatics of Barcelona (FIB-UPC) in 2010. He carried out the Master Thesis entitled Designing Adaptation Rules for Videogames at the Web & Information Systems Engineering Web & Information Systems Engineering at the VUB in Belgium. Presently, he is working in INREDIS project on behalf of TMTFactory and working as contributor of the SEMANTS project. His main research interests combine: Rich Internet applications; service-oriented architectures; Web services; multi-agent systems in dynamic environments and the semantic Web.
