Manel Palau is the R+D Director at TMTFactory. He obtained a BSc degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the School of Telecommunications Engineering of Barcelona (ETSETB) in 2007, and a MSc degree in Artificial Intelligence organized by the Barcelona School of Informatics (FIB). Currently, he is performing the Master in Project Management organized by La Salle International Graduate School of Ramon Llull University. His main research interests combine: personalized & social recommendation; usability; ubiquitous & context-aware computing; multi-agent systems in dynamic environments; and the semantic Web. His interests also combine project and quality management methods, such as, the critical chain, the continual improvement process and the Agile methodology. As a member of the research staff at TMTFactory, he has coordinated TMTFactory’s efforts in the ALIVE European project, in the INREDIS project and the SemAnts project. Currently, he coordinates TMTFactory’s efforts in the ASKS project and in the CADOOH project.

Alberto Pobre is member of R+D staff at TMTFactory. He obtained a three years Bachelor’s degree in telematics specialty of Telecommunications Engineering at the Polytechnic School in the Pompeu Fabra University (UPF) in 2009; and a BSc degree in Telecommunications Engineering in the same faculty, with a thesis entitles “Mobility service models on tourism sector”, which is oriented to study the viability of developing new advanced services in the touristic sector, focused mainly in the technological and economic study. His main research interests are oriented to the growth of the new web and mobile applications and the ICT integration in the society. Nowadays he is working as technical coordinator of TMT contribution in ASKS project and working as contributor of the SEMANTS project. Previously he has been working as collaborator in INREDIS and ALIVE projects.
